He
was a gifted educator. A tireless worker. An unwavering patriot.
A worthy opponent. A spell-binding showman.
A loving husband. A
Caring father and true lifelong friend.
In
the time that preceded his passing, a groundswell of interest from the Judo
community culminated in the formation of the U.S.J.F. George C. Balch Education
Program. George had many callings in his life, but above all else was his
duty to his fellow man. In every aspect of his time with us, you will find
examples of how he touched people, developed unnoticed potential, and shared his
loving spirit with those around him. Please take the time to share your stories
